Mariama Khadija is the Managing Director of Redsalt Angel Investment Network in Sierra Leone, where she supports early-stage businesses and ideas with the potential to create meaningful impact, guided by a belief that people and ideas thrive when given the right support.
Her work spans both the public and private sectors. She has worked at the Directorate of Science, Technology, and Innovation in the Office of the President of Sierra Leone, and has served in advisory and consulting roles with organisations including Sierra Rutile Limited and the Ministry of Communication, Technology, and Innovation. She has also worked with Global Affairs Canada on initiatives focused on international cooperation and sustainable development.
Mariama is the founder of Makha Consulting, where she supports organisations and individuals in navigating complex challenges and communicating their work with clarity and purpose. At the heart of her work is a genuine love for supporting people helping ideas grow, connecting opportunities, and creating space for others to thrive.
She is the licensed organiser of TEDxKroobay in Sierra Leone, driven by a belief in the power of ideas and conversations to inspire meaningful change.
Aminata Jalloh is a development and health systems professional with over a decade of experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across Sierra Leone. She has worked extensively with government institutions, international partners, and community actors to deliver high-impact programmes in health, youth empowerment, and social innovation.
With a strong background in operations, coordination, and delivery, Aminata has supported national convenings, policy dialogues, and large-scale public engagements that require precision, accountability, and seamless execution. Her work spans programme management, partnerships, advocacy, and strategic planning, with a consistent focus on efficiency, equity, and results.
Aminata is passionate about building systems that work behind the scenes and at scale. She brings this commitment to her role as Operations and Logistics Coordinator for TEDx in Sierra Leone, ensuring an experience that is well run, inclusive, and impactful.
Isha Youngah is a senior operations and people leader working across the public, private, and development sectors in EMEA. Her work sits at the intersection of systems, leadership, and service delivery, with a focus on how strong operations and people practices can unlock real impact.
She currently serves as Head of Operations at Marie Stopes International in Sierra Leone, where she leads organisation-wide operations, strengthens systems, and supports teams delivering essential health services at scale. Her background also includes senior HR roles, partnering with leadership teams to improve performance, accountability, and organisational culture in complex and fast paced environments.
Isha’s perspective is shaped by years of working across sectors and borders, where she learned that real change doesn’t only come from bold ideas, but from the often invisible work of building systems that actually work for people.
Mariama Rejoice Bangura is a Lawyer whose work centres on advancing social justice and community-focused initiatives, alongside a strong grounding in commercial practice. She brings a solid background in legal research and advisory work, supporting mission-driven and business-facing engagements that prioritise impact and sustainability. She is currently a pupil Barrister at GPKLEGAL, a commercial law firm, where she contributes to client work requiring regulatory insight and strategic legal support.
As the co-owner of SamSette Enterprise, she has developed and managed a consumer-facing perfume business, further sharpening her understanding of customer engagement and operational execution.
In addition, Rejoice plays a key role in the organisation and delivery of one of the country’s largest national festivals, MaDengn —an annual, sell-out event— supporting large-scale event execution. This experience reflects her ability to operate effectively within structured results-driven environments while delivering culturally inspired and community-rooted outcomes.
Together, these experiences position Rejoice as a well-rounded legal professional with thoughtful multidisciplinary perspectives to the spaces she supports.

Wilfred James Battis is a final-year Biomedical Sciences student with a strong passion for science, innovation, and impact-driven work. Alongside my academic journey I also function as the Program Coordinator for TRVP, an annual festival that brings together creativity, culture, and community through dynamic programming and execution. In addition, I am part of the volunteering team for the Tehillah Worship Experience, a gospel program dedicated to fostering worship, unity, and spiritual growth. As a visual learner, I thrive in environments that encourage creativity, clarity, and practical problem-solving, allowing me to effectively bridge ideas and action across both scientific and professional spaces.
James Combey is a Digital Communications and Branding Specialist with over five years of experience supporting government institutions and early-stage startups. He designs practical communication systems, brand identities, and digital platforms that help teams communicate their work clearly and improve visibility.
His work spans national digital transformation programmes, startup support, product storytelling, and content development. Alongside his professional practice, James is deeply committed to creative mentorship, supporting young creatives and founders to find clarity, confidence, and purpose in how they present their ideas.
